The Nike Air Max 1 "Patch Pack" was a set of Air Max Ones that were released together in March, 2015. Included in the pack was the Nike Air Max 1 V SP "Green Patch" which featured a steel green upper and olive green hyperfuse overlay that wrapped from the heel and circumferenced the entire shoe while also acting as a mudguard. The no-sew mudguard on the Green Patch AM1 took away some dimension of the front of the shoe but was well off-set by the back paneling which featured velcro allowing owners to interchange any number of 22 different patches that were included as a set with the shoes. The Green Air Max 1's patches represented different cities from throughout the world as well as Nike, Tinker Hatfield (the original Air Max designer) and the original Air Max box in which the original Air Max 1 was released. Patches could also be used on the tongue of the Green Air Max One, as it also had a velcro square where the Nike branding is typically plastered. After receiving much hype and word spreading of their limited nature, the Nike Air Max 1 V SP "Green Patch" drew the eye of many sneaker and fashion enthusiasts as the monochromatic color-scheme was friendly to a wide variety of different styles.
